DAY OF THE DEAD

The Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) is the fastest growing celebration in Mexico internationally, in terms of reach, engagement and fashion. It is a happy day. It’s a celebration and remembrance of the lives of those who are not with us anymore. It is deeply rooted in the Mexica culture, commonly known as Aztecs. And it is the journey through the 9 levels of the underworld in order to reach Mictlán, the realm. That is why this race is a 9K route through these levels to reach eternity at the finish line. As well as the Mexicas, our runners will encounter memorable experiences in their journey through race kit pick-up and the route.

’22 EDITION

In October 2022, we produced the first edition of Day of the Dead Race. We participated in the race kit pick-up of the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. It was a colorful and fun experience. The shirt design was highly praised by our runners and community, also the beautiful medal was well received by our participants. We had the support of Jarritos™ as presenting partners and our donations went to the great cause of MADD Canada.

SIGN UP IN YOUR CITY

This year we will start heading east, then we will come back along side the boardwalk, through the trail until going deep into the Ashbridge’s Bay, and then head back to the Beaches’ Pavilion.
